Business Overview
We specialize in the development of inhalers. This starts with the design of devices and formulations, and includes pharmaceutical and clinical development, and obtaining regulatory approvals.
We develop OINDPs (orally inhaled and nasal drug products) and associated spacers. Inhalers are sometimes used to treat diseases other than respiratory diseases because inhaled compounds are absorbed faster than conventional dosage forms, have a low firstpass effect due to hepatic metabolism, and act quickly.
Inhalation efficiently delivers nucleic acids, proteins, peptides and other active ingredients to target organs fast. For these reasons, there is a high probability that helpful drugs developed previously but abandoned for practical reasons can now be developed successfully as OINDPs.
OINDPs include dry powder inhalers, aerosol inhalers, soft mist inhalers, and intranasal sprays. Currently, steroids, β2-agonists, anticholinergics, α-galactosylceramide analogs are used in formulation design as active pharmaceutical ingredients.
In addition to OINDPs, we have developed spacers as auxiliary devices for aerosol inhalers and patches as a complement to inhalers in the treatment of asthma. As well as developing formulations, we also sell and lease specially controlled medical devices.
